Technical Difficulties

I apologize for the technical difficulties early last week. The website host company updated their PHP software on their server and it created compatibility issues with this site. I reached out to them, which took a couple of days because my support ticket was accidentally closed, and I was able to get them to reset my connection to their old version of server software, but then ran into difficulty on my end when upgrading the site. This resulted in a “fatal error”, and I lost access to the admin login. The following morning I woke up praying that the Lord would just help and show me how to fix this old site. Wouldn’t you know, “somehow” I stumbled across on article on how to turn off all WordPress site plugins if you’d lost admin access. Well, that didn’t work, but it sparked a thought about another fix…which did work!

It has taken years to sink in, but I’m slowly getting to the point where my first call for help is to the Lord, whether it is for wisdom in building something or help with situations like this or just general help with the day. Sometimes we are prone to think God is disinterested in the daily or mundane, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Turning to God in all things shows how much we need Him and how little we ought to rely on our own understanding or strength. As Proverbs says, “in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:6

Amen! Soli Deo Gloria.
