Bucket Drops 1/27/14

A few links of interest from the internet over the past week or so:

  • This is a sober look at last night’s Grammy wedding ceremony, which included homosexual couples as well as a variety of other relationships.  Denny Burk comments on that here in What Macklemore Got Wrong and Right

  • Christianity isn’t a sweater to be taken on and off like a Mr. Rogers sweater.  Any “pastor” who denys Christ for the sake of trying another religion, including atheism, is liable to the eternal judgment of Christ.  Not because he left the faith, but because it would be likely he never had true saving faith to begin with.  Christian “Pastor” tries out atheism

The video below is from a father who lost his fight with cancer January 7,2014 and left a message to his young daugther. After watching this I’m left saying the following, “Father forgive me for ever taking a minute of breath for granted, a day with my wife and daughter as a given, or health as a right; may I always look to you for sustainment; may you grant me the grace necessary to not only live well, but more importantly to die well.”

“Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales.” Isaiah 40:15
