Christian Aid Workers Killed by the Taliban

Commentary from Politics Daily

Last week the Taliban admitted to being behind the murder of 10 medical aid workers, 6 of which were Americans.  This particular aid group had been working in Afghanistan on a humanitarian mission and the organization has been there since 1996. Despite the efforts that many undergo to establish peace between Christians and Muslims, we must realize that the world hates Jesus Christ and that includes His Gospel, His Name, and His people.  Maybe you’re reading this and you question whether or not Jesus is even real.  Ask yourself this, if He’s not who He says He is then why does He garner such hate and hostility to the level that people are murdered at the mere mention of His name?  His followers have been brutally murdered for the last 2000 years, mostly by those who refute the claim that He is the Son of God.  If these murders and persecutors don’t believe, then why are they threatened by Him?  The answer:  “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and the people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.” John 3:19 As Jesus stated in John 7:7, “The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that it works are evil.”

Uzbekistan Jails Baptists, threatens Church

Another, of the near daily, reminders of just how fortunate we are to live in a country where we are free to worship God openly.  Unfortunately, as the old adage goes, you never know what you’ve got until you lose it.

Muslim protestors surround worshippers in Indonesia

A third story this week on persecution and violence being waged against Christians overseas.  As America becomes less and less “Christian” I wonder just how far away we are from these attacks happening right here in the United States, 25 years? 15? 10 maybe?  There are only 2 foreseeable ways that America gets back on track: 1. Heartfelt repentance of sin that will lead to revival 2. Massive persecution of Christians, sending the True Church underground to strengthen, much like we are seeing in China.

Shariah Law….in the U.S.?

The implications in the story above are quite frightening.  As we know, all it takes is one court case to establish precedence for other cases and before you know it, laws have been changed and new laws are implemented, only in this case the danger is the implementation of Shariah law….…in the United States.

“Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as dust on the scales; behold he takes up coastlands like fine dust.” Isaiah 40:15
